Come vi abbiamo riportato diverse volte negli ultimi mesi, la storica voce degli annunci degli atleti della WWE, vista diverse volte ed anche molto amata nel nostro paese, Lilian Garcia, è rimasta lontano dagli show WWE per diversi mesi, a causa della grave malattia che aveva colpito il padre qualche anno fa e che è irrimediabilmente peggiorata fino alla morte dello stesso, proprio due giorni fa.
Il padre dell'annunciatrice, Eduardo Garcia, è morto infatti durante il giorno di Natale, dopo una lunga battaglia contro il cancro, che era divenuta cosa nota dopo l'annuncio della stessa Lilian sui social network, nel quale dichiarava un allontanamento momentaneo dalla WWE proprio a causa della malattia del padre.
Lilian stessa ha annunciato il decesso del padre tramite i propri social, allegando alcune foto del padre da giovane e in famiglia, ringraziandolo commossa per tutto ciò che ha sempre fatto per lei.

My father loved Christ, so to go on Christ’s birthday is the biggest blessing ever! And as my father loved to sing and dance, a memory beautifully engrained forever in my mind will be that of the velvet ropes parting for him to join the glorious heavenly party!
🙏🏻 I feel so fortunate to have had so many amazing years with such an incredible man. He shared many special lessons with me. He taught me to be strong yet be ok with showing vulnerability, be happy yet don't shy away from sadness, be yourself & always do it with pride, be organized yet be ok with a mess every now and then, go for your dreams - the sky is the limit, embrace failures as learning’s to succeed, be determined by jumping through challenges like an obstacle course, be compassionate to others and love with your whole heart even if that love doesn't necessarily face you back, above all, don’t take life so seriously, so laugh, laugh, laugh and smile at the world a whole lot!

L'ultima apparizione avuta dalla Garcia in WWE si è avuta durante il tributo alle truppe annuale della WWE, ovvero il WWE Tribute to the Troops, nel quale la cantante ha allietato il pubblico intonando l'inno americano, come di consueto.
Tutto lo staff di WorldWrestling si stringe nell'esprimere il proprio più sentito cordoglio a Lilian e alla sua famiglia.
